John Whitman | Arkansas Business
Hello All! This is a personal post that I have been wanting to share for a while. My husband and Co Owner of Photo Love was very busy in 2014 working on many projects including his day to day job at Rockfish Interactive, and of course helping me with Photo Love. It's hard to image how much he has accomplished in just a year and still have time to be a perfect Husband and an amazing Dad! In 2014 John joined the board of directors at the nonprofit Helen Walton Children's Enrichment Center to give insight into digital strategies, advocate to the supplier community, and provide guidance on the future of the center. He is also a member of the NWA Tech Council that helps individuals and area businesses gain a competitive edge both locally and globally through education, networking and community involvement. John also provides mentorship and financial investment to Startups through his participation in the venture capital group Tonic Fund NWA. On top of all that, John has been very prosperous at Rockfish as a Sr. Technical Program Manager with several successful projects.
In 2014 John was recognized for his many accomplishments by a few different publications. I couldn't be more proud of my husband and all the effort he makes to provide for our family and to thrive in his professional world.
In May 2014 John became an honoree for the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal Fast 15 as one of the 15 most successful individuals under that age of 30 in the State of Arkansas. John was chosen because he has proven himself at work and by his peers to be on the fast track to success.
In September 2014 John was honored by Arkansas Business for the 20 in their 20s. Arkansas Business puts the spotlight on talented young leaders in Arkansas' business and nonprofit community. Each "20 in Their 20s" class is chosen by an internal committee reviewing more than 300 nominations with an eye toward accomplishments, responsibilities and people clearly ahead of their time.
In June 2014 one of the projects that John contributed to received the Web Marketing Association2014 WebAward. The WebAward program is the longest running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best Web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all Web site development. Rockfish and Walmart were honored in the development of the new WalmartBrandCenter.com.
In October 2014 John was contacted by NWA Online to write a feature called "Personal Space" about him in his favorite home work space at the Photo Love studio and office. This is the office where we manage the day to day Photo Love business, also where John spends his time when catching up on work he brings home from Rockfish.
