Ashley and Andrew's wedding day took place at The Stone Chapel and Matt Lane Farm in Goshen, Arkansas, just East of Fayetteville, AR. Ashley loved the look of the venue so much that she wanted to highlight it instead of going overboard on decor. She carefully chose classic with a mix of antique decor and lots of brilliant golds to set the color pallet of the day. Because it is so timeless, navy blue was the main color.
Ashley and Andrew Prendergast wanted to fit in as many person touches as possible, so the couple added letter A's and P's to their decor, the guestbook was an album of their engagement photos, and personalized koozies where a take home treat for the guests. A super sweet touch was the painted bible for guests to highlight their favorite versus, a unique purchase from Etsy.
Although Ashley doesn't think herself as a crafted person she enlisted the help of others for other important details on her wedding day. Her "something borrowed" was a pair of diamond and pearl earrings that belong to her long time best friend and maid of honor, Kristin. Her "something old" was a sapphire and diamond antique ring that belonged to her late mother, that was tied to Ashley's bouquet so it would stay close and she had a piece of her there on that special day. The flower girl's baskets were actually old metal Easter baskets. The bridesmaids helped paint and add bows to them to make them extra special for Ashley's nieces to carry down the aisle.
The couples favorite food in Mexican so they had Mermaid's cater a fajita bar with every fix in you could dream up! The groom is more of a cupcake kinda guy so instead of a 'groom's cake' Andrew and Ashley opted for different flavored cupcakes baked fresh from Harp's bakery.
Ashley and Andrew are both known for being the Life of the Party so they knew the reception entertainment had to be on point. Brock Entertainment was the DJ of choice (DUH!) and the couple took the party to the next level by adorning every guest with lots of glow sticks, fun glasses, and a photo booth to show it all off! Of course the open bar helped a little too ;)
Ashley and Andrew's Highlight of the Day: Their First Dance. "It was like we were the only two in the room as we basked in the fact that we were actually husband and wife!"
Ashley's Highlight of the Day: Her First Look with her dad. "He is my hero, inspiration and very best friend so to see his emotion on our special day was something I will never forget. He also stole the show later in the night with his hilarious dance moves that he will never live down!"
Mishap of the Day: Wardrobe Malfunction. "A guest's awesome dance moves accidentally caused the bustle buttons on my dress to break. Luckily our amazing photographer, Kaity, came to the rescue by pinning up my train so I could quickly get back to the dance floor!"
