Happy Friday Everyone! Today we finally get to share Brittany and Doug's fabulous Whitney Mountain Lodge Wedding! This happy couple got hitched on a gorgeous sunny day in September, and we couldn't be happier to be a part of it! Brittany always dreamed of a secret garden type of wedding, with a flower crown, woodland critters and ethereal touches that were classic and fairy-like. With colors of gold, peach and sea-foam green the atmosphere was perfectly set for this whimsical day! Brittany and Doug's wedding represented both of their personalities with minimal, vintage inspired details, and a hint of whimsy.
This couples favorite highlight was seeing and spending time with all their friends and family that have been there from the beginning and finally being able to proclaim their love after 8 years of dating! They ended their special day by sending off a lantern with both of their parents and filled it with blessings and good tidings for our new life together. It was really special and something they can remember forever.
Brittany's flower headdress was made just for her and came from Etsy.
We are still fawning over Brittany's dress inspired by Aubrey Hepburn.
Brittany took inspiration from the Glamelia bouquets, popular in the 1950's, when it came to her bridesmaids flowers. The giant single flower bouquets were made from paper, and embodied the whimsical spirit Brittany dreamed of.
These fantastic invitations were made by an Etsy Designer called Teal Typewriter.
Three months before the wedding Brittany fractured her foot, preventing her from wearing the heels she has planned on. But the perfect solution came just in time with these seafoam green Vans (which also turned out to be a great reminder of the first day the couple met, and keeping Brittany true to herself!)
The mix of textures and subtle color differences in the bridesmaids dresses created a fun and unique style.
We love this little cake stand, customized with the couples name!
Squirrels are one of Brittany's favorite animals, so she had to make sure that they were snuck in somewhere; Her mission was accomplished with this adorable squirrel bride and cat groom cake topper!
